Terms of Service

By accessing or using Proof-of-Skill, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use our services.

Proof-of-Skill is a skills-first hiring protocol that connects verified candidates with employers. You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes related to hiring or job seeking. Misuse, including creating fake profiles or manipulating skill verifications, may result in account termination.

Our platform uses AI tools, including Yoshi, to assist with candidate matching, skill assessment, and recommendations. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes and should not be considered a guarantee of candidate suitability. Final hiring decisions remain the responsibility of the employer.

Candidates must provide truthful information about their skills, experience, and qualifications. Submitting fabricated work samples, using AI to impersonate yourself during assessments, or misrepresenting your identity is strictly prohibited and will result in permanent removal from the network.

Employers must provide accurate job descriptions and hiring requirements. Employers agree not to discriminate against candidates based on protected characteristics. All communication with candidates through our platform must be professional and in good faith.

Proof-of-Skill is free for candidates. Employers are charged 5% of the hired candidate's annual CTC per successful hire, with no retainer. Payment is due upon confirmation of a successful hire through our platform. Proof-of-Work assessments are paid for separately with credits, described below.

Employers can buy credits to send Proof-of-Work assessments to candidates. Prices are shown in Indian Rupees (INR) and are exclusive of GST, which is added at 18% and shown at checkout before you pay. We do not charge any convenience fee or surcharge.

All payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited, a third-party payment gateway. By making a payment, you also agree to Razorpay's terms. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.

Credits are a digital service. They are added to your account as soon as your payment is confirmed, usually within a few minutes. Nothing is shipped, and there are no delivery charges. Credits never expire.

If your payment succeeds but the credits do not appear in your account within 24 hours, contact us at dev@proofofskill.org with your payment ID and we will add them or refund you in full.

• Credits are non-refundable. Once bought, credits cannot be refunded or exchanged for money, whether used or unused.
• Credits returned to your balance. A credit is held when you send an assessment. If the candidate declines, does not respond, or you close the role first, the credit goes back to your credit balance to use again. It is not refunded as money.
• Failed or duplicate payments. If you were charged twice, or charged for a payment that failed, we refund the extra amount in full through Razorpay to the original payment method within 5 to 7 working days. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.
• Cancelling. You can stop using Proof CV at any time. There is no subscription, so there is nothing to cancel; unused credits stay in your account.

To report a failed or duplicate payment, email dev@proofofskill.org with your payment ID.

If you have a problem with a payment, please contact us at dev@proofofskill.org before raising a dispute or chargeback with your bank. We will look into it and reply within 7 working days. Most issues can be fixed faster this way than through a chargeback.

If a chargeback is raised, we will share the transaction records with Razorpay and your bank to help resolve it.

All content, branding, and technology on the Proof-of-Skill platform is owned by Proof-of-Skill. Candidates retain ownership of their work samples and portfolio content. By uploading content, you grant us a licence to display it to potential employers for hiring purposes.

Proof-of-Skill provides a matching and verification service but does not guarantee employment outcomes. We are not liable for hiring decisions made by employers or for the performance of hired candidates. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific transaction in question.

We are not liable for payment failures, delays or errors caused by Razorpay, your bank, or your payment provider, or for any downtime of the payment gateway. If a payment fails, no credits are added and no amount is kept by us.

Either party may terminate their account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Outstanding fees remain payable upon termination.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, India.
