Privacy Policy

We may collect the following information:

• Name and job title
• Contact information including email address
• Demographic information such as postcode, preferences, and interests
• Other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers
• Website usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit, and, through our visitor identification provider, professional profile information such as your name, job title, company and LinkedIn profile
• Billing information when you buy credits, such as your name, email address, phone number, billing address, company name and GST number. Your card, UPI or bank details are collected by our payment gateway, Razorpay, not by us

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

• Internal record keeping
• We may use the information to improve our products and services
• We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers, or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided
• From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax, or mail
• We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes, and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.

Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

We also use cookies from third-party services, including the product analytics and visitor identification services described in the sections below.

We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand how people use Proof-of-Skill so we can fix problems and improve it. It records the pages you visit, the buttons you click, errors you run into, and your browser, device and approximate location (city and country, not your IP address).

When you are logged in, we link this activity to your account, including your name, email address and phone number, so we can support you and understand how each part of the product is used. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

PostHog stores this data in the European Union under its own privacy policy. To ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted, email us at dev@proofofskill.org.

On our public website pages, such as our home page and product pages, we use RB2B, a third-party service, to understand which businesses and professionals are interested in Proof CV.

What is collected. When you visit these pages, RB2B may collect your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you view and how long you spend on them, using cookies and similar technologies. RB2B may match this with professional information it already holds about you, such as your name, job title, company, work email address and LinkedIn profile.

Why we use it. We use this information to understand interest in our product and, where relevant, to contact you about Proof CV for business purposes. We do not use it for any other purpose, and we do not sell it.

Where it is not used. RB2B runs only on our public marketing pages. It does not run inside the Proof CV application, including candidate profiles, assessments, Proof-of-Work recordings, identity verification or recruiter dashboards.

Who processes it. RB2B processes this information under its own privacy policy.

Your choices. You can opt out at any time by:

• visiting RB2B's opt-out page;
• blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings.

To ask what information we hold about you from this service, or to ask us to delete it, email us at dev@proofofskill.org. We will respond within 30 days.

Payments on Proof CV are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited (“Razorpay”), a third-party payment gateway. When you make a payment, the details needed to complete it, such as your name, email address, phone number, amount and order details, are shared with Razorpay. Your card number, CVV, UPI ID and bank details are entered directly into Razorpay's secure checkout.

We do not store your card details. Card numbers, CVV and other sensitive payment information are never stored on our servers. They are handled by Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We only keep a record of the transaction, such as the payment ID, amount, date and status.

Razorpay's checkout may use cookies and similar technologies to process your payment securely and to detect and prevent fraud.

Razorpay handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.

• Account and profile information is kept for as long as your account is active, so we can provide the service you signed up for.
• If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it by law.
• Payment and transaction records, including invoices, are kept for at least 8 years, as required by Indian tax and company law.

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
• ask us to delete your personal information, subject to the records we must keep by law; and
• withdraw your consent to marketing at any time.

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:

• Whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the website, look for the box that you can click to indicate that you do not want the information to be used by anybody for direct marketing purposes
• If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by writing to or emailing us

We will not sell, distribute, or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

ProofOfSkill uses Google OAuth to connect to users' Google Calendar accounts so we can schedule and manage interviews on their behalf. This section describes specifically what Google user data we access, how we use it, store it, and share it.

When you connect your Google Calendar to ProofOfSkill, we request the following OAuth scopes:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly — to read your existing calendar events and availability so we can show candidates valid interview time slots that do not conflict with your schedule.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events — to create, update, and cancel interview events on your calendar when an interview is scheduled, rescheduled, or cancelled through ProofOfSkill.

We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or any other Google service.

• Reading availability: we read free/busy information from your calendar to display only conflict-free slots to candidates booking interviews.
• Writing events: we create calendar events on your behalf for confirmed interviews. These events include the candidate's name, the role being interviewed for, a video conferencing link, and the agreed time.
• Updating events: if an interview is rescheduled or cancelled, we update or remove the corresponding event on your calendar.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, training machine learning models, or any purpose unrelated to the scheduling feature you have connected.

We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve the scheduling functionality, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to affected users.

• OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted at rest in our database.
• We cache minimal event metadata (event ID, start/end time, busy status) only for the duration needed to render the scheduling UI. We do not store the full content, attendees, or descriptions of events we did not create.
• Events we create on your behalf retain a reference in our system so we can update or cancel them later.

We do not sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or any other purpose. Google user data is accessed only by the ProofOfSkill application to provide the scheduling feature, and is not shared with any external service.

You can disconnect your Google Calendar from ProofOfSkill at any time from your account settings. On disconnect, we revoke the OAuth token and stop accessing your calendar.

You can also revoke access directly from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

To request deletion of any residual data, email us at dev@proofofskill.org.

Google user data is never transmitted to any third-party AI or ML service, is never used to train any AI or ML model, and is not processed by any embedding, summarization, classification, retrieval, or fine-tuning system. We do not use any AI aggregator, gateway, or model hub for any purpose. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to comply with applicable law or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to affected users.

ProofOfSkill's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
