Lead Application Architect / Full-Stack Application Engineer We are seeking an Application Architect to design and build the core architecture of enterprise applications, including application workflows, business logic, data models, APIs, authentication, and role-based access control (RBAC). This role will translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions. Responsibilities ● Design end-to-end application architecture, including front-end, backend, services, databases, and integrations. ● Define application domains, workflows, business rules, data models, and relationships. ● Design database schemas, persistence strategies, migrations, and data-access patterns. ● Build secure authentication and authorization models, including RBAC, permissions, roles, and access policies. ● Design APIs and service contracts for communication between application components and external systems. ● Establish patterns for validation, error handling, auditability, logging, and transactional integrity. ● Develop application services and backend logic using technologies such as Python, Java, C#, or Node.js. ● Partner with front-end developers to define how user interfaces interact with application services and permissions. ● Ensure applications meet enterprise requirements for security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability. ● Contribute to technical standards, architecture documentation, code reviews, and engineering best practices. Qualifications ● 5+ years of experience designing and developing production applications. ● Strong understanding of application architecture, domain modeling, business logic, and service-oriented design. ● Hands-on experience designing relational databases, schemas, queries, and data access layers. ● Experience implementing authentication, authorization, RBAC, permissions, and security controls. ● Strong API design experience, including REST and event-driven integrations. ● Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS. ● Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages. ● Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and the ability to define clear front- end/backend boundaries. ● Experience with testing, CI/CD, observability, and production operations. ● Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical designs. Preferred ● Experience building enterprise, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other regulated applications. ● Familiarity with audit trails, data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements. ● Experience integrating GenAI or agentic capabilities into traditional application architectures. ● Knowledge of AWS services for application hosting, databases, identity, and APIs.
